Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare work sites, ensuring all necessary equipment, tools, consumables, and materials are ready for welding activities and operations.

• Install, assemble, fit, and connect welding equipment and control systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Conduct thorough testing, inspection, and commissioning of welding equipment, control systems, and installations to meet industry standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on welding equipment, components, and assemblies to ensure operational efficiency and longevity.
• Apply acquired knowledge and skills in diverse practical contexts, adapting to different welding challenges and environments.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality standards throughout all welding and related tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with experienced artisans and team members, learning from their expertise and contributing to team goals.

• Completed either an N2/N3/N4/N5/N6 Certificate with relevant Trade Theory, Engineering Science, Mathematics, and any other relevant subject.
• OR an NCV Level 4 certificate with relevant trade theory, Mathematics, and vocational subjects.
• OR a Technical Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Physical Science, and relevant trade theory.
• Achieved a minimum of 50% in Mathematics.
• Must not possess a trade certificate (Red Seal).
• Age between 18 and 30 years.
• Must be a South African Citizen.
