Key Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner, adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Merchandise bakery products according to laid down standards, ensuring an attractive display.
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items and check for accurate pricing on all labels.
• Check product quality, rotate stock to ensure freshness, and remove expired items promptly.
• Implement measures to prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages to bakery goods.
• Check temperatures and maintain the cold chain for applicable products to ensure food safety.
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures within the bakery department.
• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards, ensuring hygiene and functionality.
• Approach and advise customers on bakery products, actively listening to their requests.
• Provide required products or services and handle customers in a courteous and business-like manner.
• Process all customer orders according to correct procedures and service standards.
• Promote bakery products to enhance sales and customer engagement.
