The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) invites ambitious South African youth to apply for the prestigious Cloud Administrator Learnership Programme based in Pretoria, Gauteng. This 12-month workplace initiative combines comprehensive institutional theoretical learning with hands-on technical workplace exposure within SITA’s world-class Data Centre Environment. Successful candidates will be formally registered on the Occupational Certificate: Cloud Administrator (NQF Level 4) qualification, gaining foundational technical expertise in public sector digital transformation. While offering a structured pathway into enterprise cloud computing, qualifying learners may also be considered for potential absorption into permanent or contract opportunities within SITA, subject to organizational capacity and performance.
Participate actively in classroom-based theoretical training and pass all formative and summative assessments required for the NQF 4 Cloud Administrator qualification.
Assist qualified cloud engineers and data centre technicians with daily routine monitoring of physical server racks, power systems, and cooling infrastructure.
Perform basic cloud provisioning tasks, directory administration, and access management under senior mentorship.
Log incident tickets, track resolution workflows, and document routine troubleshooting procedures in alignment with standard IT operating policies.
Maintain accurate learning logs, workplace portfolios of evidence (PoE), and technical performance reviews throughout the 12-month contract period.
Collaborate effectively with team members in supporting secure, dependable government digital platforms and infrastructure.
Working at SITA positions young professionals at the epicentre of South Africa’s public sector ICT modernization. Learners benefit from mentorship provided by certified IT specialists, exposure to enterprise-scale cloud architecture, and a structured learning environment aligned with Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) benchmarks. In addition to a monthly stipend of R5,500, participants gain invaluable industry credentials and access to career development pathways in an evolving high-demand sector.

Ensure Flawless Document Compliance: Prepare clean, clear, certified copies of your Grade 12 certificate and South African ID document dated within the required certification window to ensure your portfolio passes automated administrative screening.
