Job Description
As a Community Advisor within FNB's Alternative Channels, particularly supporting initiatives like the Boxer partnership, you will be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional and efficient customer experience. This role is crucial for proactively understanding diverse customer needs, providing tailored financial product solutions, and expertly directing customers to the most suitable service channels, including FNB's advanced eChannels and self-service platforms. You will ensure every interaction strictly aligns with established policies, processes, and FNB's renowned service standards. This 12-month hourly rate contract position offers a unique opportunity to become a vital link between FNB and its community, fostering financial literacy and accessibility. You will be instrumental in helping individuals and families manage their finances more effectively, contributing directly to FNB's mission of being a trusted partner in creating a better world. The role demands a blend of strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, all within a fast-paced retail banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, enduring relationships with clients by consistently demonstrating helpfulness and sensitivity to their transactional needs and expectations. This involves active listening and empathetic engagement to foster trust and loyalty.
- Solution Provision: Effectively communicate with clients, explaining complex banking processes and requirements in a simple, understandable manner. Educate customers on the correct banking platforms aligned with their specific needs, promoting the adoption of digital and self-service solutions for convenience and efficiency.
- Sales and Growth: Analyze customer data and financial profiles to recommend contextual and integrated financial solutions, thereby achieving sales results and supporting portfolio growth. Identify opportunities to introduce new products or services that genuinely benefit the customer.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure strict compliance with all FNB rules, internal processes, and regulatory guidelines. Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all transactions and interactions, conducting yourself in an ethical and professional manner at all times, upholding FNB's core values.
- Operational Efficiency: Contribute to an efficient work environment by taking accountability for your own performance, personal, and career development. Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12/ NQF Level 4
- Preferred Qualification: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related fields recognized by FAIS
- 1β3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, service delivery, or client support within financial services
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills and an ability to engage diverse customer needs
- Confidence in guiding customers toward digital and Self-Service solutions
- Ability to identify sales opportunities and support portfolio growth
- High levels of accuracy, discipline, and adherence to process
- Strong organising, planning, and time-management capability
