The Trainee: Finance & Insurance will embark on a dynamic 12-month fixed-term contract at Motus Retail, a leading entity in the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities

• Finance & Insurance Support:
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of finance applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Learn and develop a thorough understanding of various vehicle finance structures and the specific requirements of different finance houses.
  • Gain comprehensive exposure to a wide range of finance and insurance products, including value-added products (VAPs).
  • Develop an understanding of how F&I products strategically contribute to overall dealership profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Customer Experience:
  • Assist in providing customers with a professional, welcoming, and seamless F&I experience, upholding Motus's high service standards.
  • Develop strong customer service and relationship-management skills, crucial for building trust and loyalty.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive customer information and financial data.
• Compliance & Governance:
  • Develop a robust understanding of the complex regulatory environment applicable to F&I within the South African automotive retail industry.
  • Gain exposure to and comply with the requirements of key legislation, including the National Credit Act (NCA), Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
  • Adhere to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, OEM standards, and internal dealership policies.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and complete customer and deal documentation, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Complete all required training and development activities diligently throughout the 12-month programme.
• Administration:
  • Assist with preparing finance and insurance documentation accurately and timeously, ensuring all paperwork is in order.
  • Maintain accurate records and efficient filing systems for easy retrieval and compliance.
  • Perform general administrative duties relating to the F&I function, supporting the team's operational efficiency.
• Relationship Management:
  • Develop positive and collaborative working relationships with customers, finance houses, insurance providers, and internal dealership staff.
