Key Responsibilities
Participate in end-to-end grain management, commodity storage, and silo operations.
Conduct in-depth commercial analysis, market research, and agricultural commodity assessments.
Assist in evaluating grain logistics, supply chain dynamics, and product dispatch operations.
Collaborate with experienced market dealers and analysts to monitor hedging, futures, options, and price-risk management strategies.
Collect, clean, and analyze agricultural datasets using quantitative tools and Microsoft Excel.
Prepare comprehensive commercial reports, market briefs, and performance summaries for leadership.
Ensure adherence to agricultural compliance standards, commodity grading regulations, and safety protocols across grain facilities.

Requirements
Completed NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or related commercial/agricultural field.
Strong academic record, especially in quantitative, economic, agricultural, or financial modules.
High computer literacy with practical proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Valid South African driver's licence (or ability to obtain one prior to programme commencement).
Advantageous: Exposure to commodity trading, silo operations, or grain logistics.
Advantageous: Completion of Agricultural Products Markets Dealers Exam or short courses in JSE derivatives, hedging, and price-risk management.
Strong analytical ability, numerical skills, and high attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong team collaboration capabilities.
