SGS invites ambitious, forward-thinking South African youth to apply for the Human Resources and Business Administration YES Internship Programme based in Sandton / Bryanston. This 12-month experiential learning opportunity is structured under the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, designed to provide comprehensive workplace exposure in Learning and Development (L&D), reporting systems, data analytics, and corporate HR operations. As an intern, you will play an active role in executing strategic people-development projects while gaining invaluable corporate workplace skills within a world-leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the HR team with the execution, monitoring, and administration of key Learning and Development (L&D) projects and training initiatives.

• Collect, assimilate, and evaluate workforce data to generate structured analytical spreadsheets and L&D reports using advanced MS Excel.

• Apply basic data analytics and modern AI-driven tools to research best practices, streamline workflows, and enhance administrative efficiency.

• Draft, edit, and organize formal HR correspondence, meeting minutes, presentations, and compliance records.

• Maintain absolute confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive employee records and corporate documentation.

• Support general HR and Business Administration functions, ensuring all operational tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve operational queries and achieve high-quality project outcomes.

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.

• National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.

• Completed qualification or short course in Data Analytics.

• Must be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID document.

• Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old.

• Currently unemployed and have not previously participated in a YES Programme.

• Clear criminal record.

• Willing and able to commute or relocate to Bryanston / Sandton.

• Strong computer literacy with exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

• Demonstrated affinity for data analysis, research methodologies, and using modern AI tools.

• High attention to detail, personal accountability, and strong oral and written communication skills.
