The Human Resources Internship at Takealot.Com offers a dynamic 18-month contract opportunity for an aspiring HR professional to gain invaluable practical experience within South Africa's leading e-commerce environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end employee lifecycle administration, including meticulous onboarding preparation, comprehensive offboarding documentation, and maintaining accurate personnel records.
- Support the collection and verification of HR data, ensuring spreadsheets and HR systems (such as Greenhouse) are consistently up to date and accurate.
- Aid in preparing basic HR reports and presentations, contributing to data-driven decision-making within the People team.
- Support the team in maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and efficient filing systems, ensuring all documentation is compliant, accessible, and easy to retrieve.
- Act as a helpful and professional point of contact for routine employee HR queries, effectively escalating complex issues to the People Practitioner for resolution.
- Participate in and provide crucial support for ad-hoc engineering and HR projects, which may involve conducting research, accurately taking minutes, or coordinating meeting logistics.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by actively collaborating with team members and demonstrating a proactive approach to tasks.
- Develop a deep understanding of HR best practices and compliance requirements within the South African context.
