This structured 12-month development initiative is specifically tailored for unemployed South African youth from designated groups who aspire to establish a successful and sustainable career in the insurance and financial services sector.
Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive learning journey that integrates accredited theoretical study with vital on-the-job practical training. Participants will work under the guidance of seasoned insurance professionals, gaining firsthand exposure to sales, administration, risk assessment, and financial compliance while earning a nationally recognized NQF Level 4 Insurance Qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Administration: Assist with daily insurance policy administration, data capturing, and client policy servicing in accordance with company quality standards.
Sales Support & Negotiation: Learn and apply effective selling, negotiation, and customer relationship techniques to support short-term and long-term insurance portfolios.
Risk Assessment & Compliance: Conduct foundational research and utilize numeracy skills to evaluate basic insurance risks in strict adherence to FAIS and industry compliance regulations.
Client Communication: Maintain high standards of customer service by delivering accurate, professional, and empathetic communication to policyholders.
Personal Financial Management: Apply principles of personal financial planning and risk mitigation throughout the practical workplace modules.
Portfolio of Evidence (PoE): Complete all required classroom assessments, assignments, and practical workplace logs on time to achieve formal qualification.

Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric qualification with Mathematics or Accounting.
Currently unemployed South African citizen.
Not currently registered for any other studies, learnership, internship, or YES Programme.
Available to commence the 12-month learnership programme immediately.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and customer service orientation.
Integrity, self-motivation, and excellent time management skills.
Basic negotiation and selling capabilities with the ability to work under pressure.
Preference will be given to candidates from designated employment equity groups and candidates with disabilities.
