Key Responsibilities & Core Duties

• Provide pharmaceutical care and dispense medication under the direct supervision of a registered tutor pharmacist.
• Accurately read, interpret, and capture prescription details onto the dispensing system while thoroughly verifying patient demographics.
• Assist in the compounding, manipulation, and preparation of non-sterile or sterile pharmaceutical substances following approved Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and safe distribution of Schedule 1 through Schedule 6 medicines.
• Conduct professional patient counselling, delivering precise guidance on dosage instructions, contraindications, and potential drug interactions.
• Assist with administrative dispensary workflows, including script tracking reports and medical aid claim verifications.
