Technology & Digital Learnership at Road Accident Fund

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is offering a valuable opportunity for unemployed South African youth through its Technology & Digital Learnership Programme. This 12-month learnership is designed for individuals aged 18 to 23 who have completed Grade 12 and are eager to gain practical skills and workplace experience in the technology and digital sector. The programme aims to equip participants with essential digital and technology-related competencies, fostering their professional development and enhancing their employability. As part of the selection process, the RAF will conduct verification checks to confirm employment history and previous work experience within South Africa. This initiative aligns with the RAF's commitment to youth empowerment and skills development, contributing to the growth of a digitally skilled workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide reception services within the ICT department.

• Troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, software, user profiles, connectivity, and general desktop-related issues.

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support business applications used by employees.

• Monitor and manage devices using Intune, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

• Identify non-compliant devices and implement corrective actions.

• Perform manual security patching and software updates to ensure devices have the latest security updates.

• Respond to and resolve user calls and incidents logged with the regional ICT team.

• Provide direct technical assistance to users, diagnosing and resolving IT problems efficiently.

• Identify and resolve issues with computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations, and other ICT equipment.

• Conduct asset verification and ensure accurate recording and assignment of ICT equipment.

• Troubleshoot printer connectivity, driver issues, configuration, printing, and hardware-related problems.
