Key Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site contractors on behalf of the client, rigorously monitoring compliance with electrical specifications, engineering designs, and agreed timelines.
• Inspect ongoing electrical installations, cable laying, switchgear erections, and commissioning procedures to ensure quality standards.
• Refer significant technical queries and potential design clashes to the Resident Engineer (RE) while proactively proposing practical on-site solutions.
• Apply relevant clauses of standard construction contracts (e.g., GCC, FIDIC, or NEC) in daily site coordination and contractor interactions.
• Maintain comprehensive site supervision documentation, including daily diary logs, labor returns, weather records, technical submittals, and site instructions.
• Coordinate the timely updating and distribution of construction drawings, working closely with lead design engineers and CAD technicians to produce accurate as-built records.
• Collaborate with quantity surveyors and cost engineers to check site measurements and verify work volumes for contractor payment certifications.
• Liaise with community liaison officers, local stakeholders, and client representatives to ensure smooth community relations and site accessibility.
• Review environmental, health, and safety compliance reports generated on site, addressing non-conformance issues promptly with the contractor.
