Responsibilities

• Ensure internal and external stakeholders perform within agreed turnaround times and Service Level Agreements by actively monitoring distressed credit accounts.
• Rehabilitate accounts by contacting, negotiating, concluding, and monitoring sustainable repayment arrangements with clients and authorised third-party debt counsellors.
• Reduce and manage impairments and credit loss ratios by executing structured credit control actions, drawing daily reports, and distributing critical tracking files to stakeholders.
• Maintain superior client satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving risk, arrears, and debt-restructuring inquiries.
• Ensure client account records remain accurate by verifying historical data, updating statuses, and attaching correspondence or site reports directly onto the banking systems.
• Prioritise delinquent accounts by categorising portfolio exposures according to risk matrix standards and age analysis.
• Minimise financial losses to the bank by rigorously applying recovery policies, escalation frameworks, and National Credit Act regulatory guidelines.
• Escalate high-risk matters, including insolvencies, deceased estates, absconsions, debt review restructuring proposals, and business rescues, to appropriate specialized teams.
• Identify operational enhancements and actively participate in team collaboration initiatives, transformation efforts, and ongoing professional capability development.
