Assistant Officer Financial Accounting at Eskom

Eskom is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Officer in Financial Accounting and Control to support its finance division. In this critical operational role, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, executing month-end closing activities, and ensuring internal control compliance within South Africa's primary energy provider. Key Responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive financial accounting reporting packs and scheduled balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare tax schedules, intercompany accounts, and related party disclosures in line with company governance.
• Maintain ongoing tax compliance and assist with statutory submission requirements.
• Conduct disciplined month-end periodic processing, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet integrity checks.
• Enforce effective financial internal controls and support internal and external audit queries.
• Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders across departments to resolve transaction anomalies.
• Validate Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) financial system access, user workflow, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) parameters.
