Babylonstoren is inviting an enthusiastic, creative, and energetic individual to join its renowned Floral Team for the vibrant Cape summer season running from 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2027. Set against the backdrop of the historic Drakenstein Valley, the farm garden serves as an ever-evolving canvas of botanicals, historic fruit trees, and seasonal blossoms harvested daily for displays throughout the estate.

As a Seasonal Floral Team Assistant, you will assist florists in translating farm abundance into living, fragrant art. You will handle daily botanical prep, assist in assembling grand event installations, and craft bespoke arrangements that welcome visitors from around the world to the farm hotel, restaurants, and retail spaces.

Key Responsibilities & Core Duties

• Harvest, condition, and prepare fresh flowers, herbs, and foliage harvested directly from the Babylonstoren gardens.
• Assist with the construction, styling, and breakdown of botanical installations for upscale functions and seasonal celebrations.
• Assemble delicate handheld tussie-mussies and boutique floral products tailored for farm guests and retail presentation.
• Transport raw floral materials and completed botanical arrangements safely across the farm using utility vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness, tool sterilisation, and seamless workflow organisation within the dedicated florist studio benches.
• Collaborate actively with styling teams to ensure floral installations uphold strict aesthetic and sustainability guidelines.
