Babylonstoren is seeking a warm, dedicated, and highly organised Resident House Head & Learner Coordinator to join the team at Kleinbosch, the historic homestead recognised as the cradle of the first official Afrikaans school. In this live-in residential role, you will play a central part in welcoming groups of youth and learners who visit the estate for immersive educational programmes, heritage tours, and developmental workshops.

As the primary custodian of student wellbeing outside formal learning hours, you will establish a secure, nurturing, and well-structured home away from home. From preparing administrative documentation to coordinating check-ins and managing evening routines, this position blends practical pastoral care with operational coordination in a distinctive Cape Dutch heritage setting.

Key Responsibilities & Core Duties

• Supervise visiting learner groups outside scheduled programme hours, maintaining structured evening schedules, meal routines, and room allocations.
• Coordinate all pre-arrival documentation, including learner profiles, medical background records, indemnity paperwork, and dietary specifications.
• Serve as the primary liaison between visiting schools, teachers, chaperones, and the internal estate hospitality and culinary teams.
• Administer group orientation sessions, welcome tours, daily attendance registers, and departure logistics with high efficiency.
• Respond promptly to medical incidents, personal emergencies, or group dynamics using established first-aid procedures and escalation pathways.
• Maintain the residential quarters to immaculate cleanliness and safety standards in collaboration with estate housekeeping.
