Key Responsibilities & Core Duties

• Assist licensed pharmacists with the safe handling, preparation, and sale of Schedule 1 through Schedule 5 medications.
• Accurately interpret medical prescriptions, capturing script information into the pharmacy dispensing management software.
• Perform meticulous picking, packing, and labeling of medicines while verifying appropriate dosage instructions.
• Assist in the compounding, manipulation, and repackaging of non-sterile medicines according to established standard operating procedures.
• Process medical aid claims, resolve billing rejections, and secure necessary authorisations for chronic and specialized treatments.
• Receive, unpack, verify, and store stock shipments, maintaining inventory integrity and reporting any discrepancies.
• Advise patients on the correct usage, storage, and handling of both over-the-counter and prescribed pharmaceutical items.
