BUCO George is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Merchandiser to manage floor inventory, product displays, and customer service operations within its building supplies store. The Merchandiser plays a vital role in creating an appealing retail environment that maximizes sales volume, maintains high presentation standards, and delivers a superior shopping experience to retail shoppers and trade professionals.

This position works across front-of-house sales aisles and stock receiving areas, ensuring all merchandise is correctly priced, neatly displayed, and readily available for purchase. The successful candidate will liaise directly with customers, assist with quote follow-ups, monitor damaged or slow-moving stock, and support stocktaking procedures under the guidance of the branch leadership team.

Key Responsibilities & Core Duties

• Maintain shop floor merchandising standards according to company visual guidelines and planograms.
• Receive, unpack, verify, and pack building materials and retail stock systematically onto shelves.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, locate merchandise, and convert walk-in interest into sales.
• Monitor stock depletion, identify depleted shelf quantities, and execute replenishment promptly.
• Identify, record, and report damaged, obsolete, or misplaced inventory to reduce shrinkage.
• Participate actively in regular store stock takes, inventory reconciliations, and promotional setup.
